**WASHINGTON, Sept 24 (Reuters)** - Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, was informed on Tuesday by U.S. intelligence officials about alleged threats from Iran targeting his life, according to his campaign. 

In a statement, the campaign said, "President Trump was briefed today by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence about credible and specific threats from Iran aimed at assassinating him, intended to destabilize and create chaos in the United States."
